How much does it cost to build a high-end villa in the Algarve?
It depends on the floor area, the plot, the construction system and the finishes. As a guide, a high-end villa in the Algarve typically costs between €2,000 and €3,500 per square metre of construction, excluding the plot and design fees. The online assessment gives you the range for your case and, after the site visit, we provide a quote itemised by work package.
How long does a full renovation take?
An apartment usually takes 3 to 5 months and a villa 6 to 10 months, depending on size and the permits required. The schedule is fixed in the quote, with construction milestones.
Does Contempla Oásis hold a construction licence?
Yes. Contempla Oásis, Unipessoal Lda holds private works contractor licence no. 96659-PAR, class 6, registered with IMPIC since 2020. Class 6 allows it to carry out works of up to €6.4 million per contract. You can check this on the IMPIC website by searching for the licence number.
Do you work with owners who live outside Portugal?
Yes. You follow the work remotely through photo reports, drone footage and video calls, in Portuguese, English or French.
Which parts of the Algarve do you cover?
The whole Algarve, with a stronger presence in the municipality of Loulé: Vilamoura, Quarteira, Almancil, Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago. We also work in Faro, Albufeira, Olhão and Tavira.
Do I need an architect before contacting you?
No. If you do not have a design yet, we help you define the brief for the house and work with architects and engineers on the design and the permits. If you already have an approved design, we quote directly from it.
How is the quote prepared?
After the site visit, we provide a quote broken down by work package, with quantities, materials and schedule. Payments are tied to actual progress on site.
